Wedding DJ FAQ: Florida and Pittsburgh
- How much does a wedding DJ cost in Florida?
- Wedding DJ costs in Florida typically range from $1,500 to $6,000 for a single-day event. Modern Era Weddings packages start around $3,500 for DJ and emcee with full-day coverage. Signature Wedding Weekends, which span three days with multiple events, start around $12,000.
- What is a Signature Wedding Weekend?
- A Signature Wedding Weekend is a fully produced three-day celebration with a welcome event on Friday, the main wedding on Saturday, and a farewell brunch or activity on Sunday. Modern Era Weddings produces every event in the weekend under one coordinated team.
- Do you travel for destination weddings?
- Yes. Modern Era Weddings regularly produces destination weddings in the Florida Keys, the Berkshires, the Poconos, Washington DC, and select international markets. Travel fees apply outside our primary Southwest Florida and Pittsburgh service areas.
- How far in advance should I book a wedding DJ?
- Most couples book 12 to 18 months ahead for peak-season dates (October through April in Florida; May through October in Pittsburgh). Popular dates can fill 24 months or more out. We recommend locking your date as soon as your venue is confirmed.
- What is included in a Modern Era Weddings package?
- Standard packages include DJ, emcee, full sound system, wireless microphones for ceremony and speeches, a coordinator-facing production timeline, and a planning session with your DJ before the event. Lighting, live musicians, photo booths, and Signature Wedding Weekend production are available as additions.
