Wedding DJ and Entertainment at Tyler Hill Camp

On that weekend we ran eleven separate sound positions across the property over four days:

• Social Hall, for a ceremony and the talent show, with music and lighting
• The docks, for a ceremony and a cocktail hour
• The pool, for the pool party
• The pickleball courts, for music during games
• The tennis courts, for late night
• The dining hall, covering breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, with lighting and the photo booth
• The field, for emceed field games with background music
• The canteen, for the late night parties
• An additional field ceremony setup
• The amphitheater, for a ceremony setup
• A truck bed, rigged for the Baraat parade

Every venue limits sound, and the limit comes from somewhere different in each case. A resort in the Florida Keys answers to a county ordinance. A downtown hotel answers to the guests asleep upstairs. A private property taken as a full buyout has fewer of those constraints, and the expanded hours are one of the real benefits of the weekend format. It changes what a weekend can hold: a late night that is a real event rather than a hotel bar, or a second space still running after the reception has ended. Confirm the limits with the property for each night, because they vary by night and by space, and get them before you book entertainment.

The team also ran karaoke, emceed the field games, produced a talent show, played the reception, and played the after party.

Producing sound across the property means bringing in and setting up the equipment at each event location.

Everything for entertainment comes in with us; at each event location we need a table and a linen and nothing else from the property. Two of us covered that weekend, and we were on the property from the Thursday.

Riley and Nilesh, September 2026. A four-day Indian fusion weekend with the wedding on the Saturday. Eleven sound positions, a Baraat run off a battery rig in a truck bed, an emceed field day, and a talent show.

These are the questions that actually change how a Tyler Hill weekend runs. We cannot answer all of them for you, because several depend on what the camp agrees to for your dates.

How many separate places will people gather? This is the number that sets everything else. A weekend with four gathering spots is a different production from one with eleven.

Where does each event go if it rains? Some events will have an indoor alternative and some will not, and which is which is decided by the camp for your dates. Ask for that list in writing before you build the schedule, event by event. Do not assume a space is available as a backup because it was used for something else on a different weekend.

Who is on the microphone between the events? The gap between a field game ending and dinner starting is where a weekend either flows or stalls. That is an emcee job, not a DJ job, and it needs to be someone's responsibility on paper.

What time does music have to stop? Confirm the camp's own limit for each night, and get it in writing before the timeline is built around it.
